Powered by OpenTech Alliance's INSOMNIAC® Smart Motion technology, it is one of the most straightforward and genuinely useful upgrades we have ever made available to our Storers.

What Are Smart Motion Alerts? 

Smart Motion Alerts is a new monthly add-on feature available exclusively at StorHub's OpenTech-enabled facilities. A small, wireless motion sensor is placed inside your storage unit by our team and connected to your registered mobile number. Any time movement is detected inside your unit; you receive an SMS with the unit number, the facility name, and the exact time of the activity. 

There are no dashboards to log into, no monthly reports to check, and no app to remember. The alert comes to you as a standard text message the same way you already communicate every day. It is instant, personal, and completely hands-off once it is set up. Simply reply "Yes" if the visit was yours contact our team straight away if something does not add up. 

How Smart Motion Alerts Work 

Getting set up with Smart Motion Alerts takes just minutes, and once it is in place, everything runs automatically in the background. There is nothing for you to install, configure, or maintain.

Our team fits the sensor 

We place a small, discreet wireless sensor inside your storage unit. It is battery-powered, requires no wiring, and our team handles the full installation. There is nothing for you to set up. 

Motion is detected 

The sensor monitors your unit around the clock 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Anytime movement is detected, whether it is you making a visit, a family member picking something up, or any other activity, an alert is triggered instantly. 

You receive a text 

An SMS is sent directly to your registered mobile number with the unit number, facility name, and exact time of access. Reply "Yes" if the visit was expected or contact our team immediately if something does not seem right.

Smart Motion Alerts does not replace the security infrastructure already in place at StorHub facilities. It works alongside it is adding a personal, human layer to the existing technological protections so that the people who matter most to you are always the first to know.

There is no lock-in contract, no setup fee, and no complicated sign-up process simply speak with a member of our team at the facility, and they will arrange everything for you before you leave.
